For me music is snapshots & flashes; a song appears and is SO good it’s a pivotal, line-in-sand moment. Then, the very next track is better still. Song before; never played again*. But during the time it shone it was *really* liked. Loved, even. (*Tis played again, usually.) Elitism, trainspots, one-upmanship aren’t issues. Not anymore (not much classical or NWOBHM here though). To mangle a football analogy – if a song’s good enough, it’s old enough, it’s playing (=blogged – d’you see….).
Someone somewhere liked a song and they blogged it. I stumbled across it, liked it too, thought someone else – you – might like it. So on & forward. It was probably you who told me in the first place...
To everyone ever mentioned on here; thanks. You talented beggar x
